Vol. 241 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Parking Survey.

40.

asked the Minister for Local Government what action has been taken to date on foot of the Parking Survey Dublin 1968; and how soon and where steps will be taken to substantially increase car parking accommodation in Dublin.

I understand that Dublin Corporation, who commissioned the survey, are examining the report made to them and in the mean-time have invited the interest of developers in the provision of a multi-storey car-park at one particular site, viz. Bride Street.

Can the Minister say what parking accommodation would be provided in the proposal for Bride Street?

I do not know. It is a multi-storey car park. I do not know what the accommodation in it would be.

Would the Minister say how soon information about the proposed multi-storey car park in Bride Street will be available? Is the Minister aware that that vacant site is a danger to all the surrounding properties at the moment?

They have invited the interest of developers in the provision of this multi-storey car park. I do not know what the response to that has been.
