I presume the industry to which the Deputy's question refers is the nylon 6 fibre plant to be established by the Italian firm, Snia Viscosa, details of which I announced last June. Building work is planned to start towards the end of the present month and it is expected that the factory will be fully completed early in 1971.
Total factory employment at full production will be of the order of 550 commencing with an initial labour force of about 75. Full production is expected to be reached within twelve months of the commencement of manufacturing operations. About 70 per cent of the employment will be male.
