asked the Minister for Education if he will state in respect of the parish of Kinvara, County Galway (a) the number of children attending and (b) the number of teachers at each of the following schools: the boys' primary school, Kinvara, the girls' primary school, Kinvara, the mixed primary school, Dooras, the mixed primary school, Northampton and the mixed primary school, Killina; and if he has plans to amalgamate schools in the parish.

The numbers of teachers and pupils in the schools referred to are given in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Cheann Comhairle, I propose to have circulated with the Official Report.

Plans are well advanced for the erection of a new school to replace the boys' school at Kinvara where it is likely that in the future a number of existing schools will be centralised.
