asked the Minister for Lands what formal or informal committees are at present in existence in his Department; the terms of reference of such committees; when they were set up; the cost to date; and when it is expected that the reports of such committees will be available.

The only such committee, in so far as my Department are concerned, is the joint committee on game development consisting of representatives of the Department of Lands and Bord Fáilte.

This committee were set up, with effect from 1st April, 1966, to administer the requisite financial assistance, advice and co-ordination for purposes connected with the production and marketing of shooting which is expressly intended for visiting sportsmen.

The only cost involved to date in relation to the composition of the committee represents the proportionate part for committee duties of the normal salaries of the officials concerned. Segregation of the amount involved would not be practicable. The committee report to me annually.
