As I have indicated in replies to previous similar questions a large number of public-spirited people give their services on a voluntary unpaid basis to bodies established under the aegis of my Department. There are only two such bodies whose chairman is remunerated. Neither of these bodies was in existence in 1922. The present rate of remuneration in each case is as follows:
Hospitals Commission £2,000 per annum.
Voluntary Health Insurance Board £500 per annum.

Radio Telefís Éireann is the only such body for which I have a responsibility. The remuneration of the chairman was fixed at £1,000 per annum on the establishment of RTE in 1960 and it has not since been adjusted.
