Vol. 263 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ambulance Service.

9.

asked the Minister for Health the total number of ambulances in each of the health board areas; and whether he considers this number adequate.

The numbers of ambulances is as follows:—

Eastern Health Board

48

Southern ,, ,,

26

South Eastern Health Board

25

Mid-Western ,, ,,

20

Western ,, ,,

19

North Eastern ,, ,,

16

North Western ,, ,,

12

Midland ,, ,,

These numbers are considered adequate.

In respect of the Eastern Health Board can the Minister say what is the breakdown between Counties Wicklow, Kildare and Dublin?

I have not got that information to hand.

It is a separate question.
