asked the Minister for Defence the cost of the maintenance and building of married quarters for each of the past ten years; and the number of such quarters built in each of those years.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Army Married Quarters.
The information sought regarding the cost of building married quarters for each of the past ten years and the number of such quarters built is in the form of a tabular statement which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report.
Particulars of the cost of maintaining married quarters generally in each of the past ten years are not readily available and I consider that the considerable work involved in ascertaining such particulars would not be warranted.
Following is the statement:
Married Quarters built during the past ten years.
Particulars of married quarters built for non-commissioned personnel are as follows:—

No officers' married quarters were built during the past ten years.
Is the Minister indicating that the statistics are not available to the Department for each year in relation to the maintenance of married quarters? Surely it is a simple question?
If the Deputy had listened, he would know that it is being circulated in the form of a tabular statement.
No. I am speaking about maintenance.
