Vol. 291 No. 15

Written Answers. - Child Welfare Service Delays.

94.

asked the Minister for Health if he aware of the excessive delays being experienced by patients who wish to avail themselves of the child welfare services and that appointments that are made are later postponed for up to three months; and if he will ensure that the service is organised to cater for children in a rational and humane way.

Inquiries were made from the Eastern Health Board regarding the child health examination services but the board are not aware that there are delays. If the Deputy is aware of a situation where a particular person has experienced some problem I will be glad to have the matter examined if he will let me have details of the case.
