Order of Business.
Unfortunately I was not here yesterday morning when the Taoiseach made a personal explanation regarding a question on the floating of the £. I would like to thank him for his explanation and to say that naturally I accept it without reservation. Could I ask him if he would not consider it advisable to try to ensure, when an action such as the floating of the £ is contemplated by the British Government, that prior consultation takes place in a matter which can have serious repercussions on our economy and particularly regarding employment?
I do not know what effect it will have but in so far as it might have some useful purpose I certainly will consider it.
