asked the Minister for Education if he will state, in relation to the Tallaght Community School, County Dublin, (a) the total cost; (b) if such cost has been fully paid, and if so, by whom; (c) the total running costs of the school in each year since it opened; and (d) the source of the funds from which such running costs have been met.
Written Answers. - Tallaght (Dublin) Community School.
246.
The capital cost of the school premises, exclusive of the cost of a swimming pool and sports hall which was £150,000 approximately and shared equally between the Minister for Education and Dublin County Council, was £730,000. The premises were provided and paid for by the Minister for Education.
It would not be in accordance with normal practice to publish details of expenditure incurred by the authorities of individual schools. Community schools are financed from the provision made in the subhead "Comprehensive and Community Schools—Running Costs" of the Vote for Secondary Education.
