The following table shows, for each year 1968-69 to 1977, total central government expenditure expressed as a percentage of gross national product at current market prices. The figures are based on national accounts concepts and definitions and expenditure covers both current and capital expenditure, including subsidies and transfers to other sectors of the economy.
