Provisional results of the activities of the Industrial Development Authority during 1979 show that negotiations have been concluded with Irish and overseas industries planning to create over 35,000 jobs at full production.
While details of some of the projects approved for assistance in 1979 have already been announced, many must remain confidential at this stage in order to respect the wishes of the industrial promoters. Information regarding the number of projects approved for each region and county and the number of associated jobs will be contained in the authority's annual report for 1979 which will be published later this year.
