Vol. 319 No. 4

Written Answers. - Telephone Facilities.

199.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange for the erection of a further public telephone kiosk at Union Hall, County Cork.

The needs of the area are regarded as adequately met by the existing kiosk and the provision of an additional one is not regarded as warranted.

200.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when telephone facilities will be provided for residents of the Rock Manor and Beechdale estates, Kilcoole, County Wicklow.

Service will be provided for the remaining small number of applicants in Rock Manor estate when additional exchange equipment becomes available in about six months' time.

Provision of service for applicants in Beechdale is dependent on underground cabling works which, regrettably, it will not be possible to carry out until early next year. Service will be provided as soon as possible after the cabling is completed.
