Vol. 336 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

848.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange to pay a headage grant to a person (details supplied) in Macroom, County Cork.

It is a condition of the cattle headage scheme that an applicant must occupy and farm at least 7.5 acres of utilised agricultural land. One of the persons named applied for the cattle headage grant in 1981 and claimed that he rented five acres to bring him over the 7.5 acres level. He has been asked to supply documentary evidence in support of this claim. When he does so he will be paid the cattle headage grant provided he satisfies the other terms and conditions of the scheme.
