I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that, on the basis of the details available, income tax under PAYE is deductible from the taxpayer's earnings for 1983-84 and there is no refund due. The question of any refund due in respect of PRSI contributions is a matter for the Department of Social Welfare.
