Vol. 357 No. 12

Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

569.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in having a mortgage subsidy paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

There has been no undue delay in my Department in dealing with this case. The second instalment of the mortgage subsidy will be paid shortly to the person named.

570.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange immediate payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Clare.

This grant was paid on 27 March 1985 to the Rural Resource Organisation in accordance with the authorisation received.

571.

Mr. Cowen

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The new house grant will be paid shortly in this case.

572.

asked the Minister for the Environment if any outstanding grant payments are owed to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; for house reconstruction work recently carried out at his premises; and the level of grants approved for the works.

The application in this case was in respect of the installation of sewerage facilities and the provision of a bathroom and extra bedroom. A grant in respect of the bedroom could not be allowed because contrary to a statutory condition of the scheme work had commenced prior to an inspection of the house. A bathroom grant of £480 together with a sewerage grant of £200 was paid in this case in February 1984. No further amounts are payable.

573.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The grant will be paid as soon as possible.
