The person named will be paid as soon as the batch which includes his payment is processed.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of sheep headage grants to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

Headage grants on 53 sheep have already been paid to the person named. Grants have however been withheld on a second lot of 32 sheep presented for inspection because my Department are not satisfied that they are the property of the applicant.

173.

The person named has already been paid his 1984 cattle headage grants under the disadvantaged areas scheme, his calf premium and his 1984 suckler cow premium.

All grants due under the farm modernisation scheme in this case have been paid. There is no application outstanding in respect of a milking machine.

This applicant is not one of those affected by the recent decision to process applications for grant aid for farm buildings and fixed assets which had been received from eligible farmers but not approved prior to the suspension of part of the scheme in the budget of 9 February 1983.

It is a condition for the payment of grants to development farmers under the farm modernisation scheme that an extract of farm accounts is submitted for each year of the plan.

The person concerned failed to submit an extract of farm accounts for each year of his plan. Accordingly he lost entitlement to payment of grants at the development rate. The grant of £660 in respect of a slurry pit and concrete yard, calculated at the reduced rate, represents the maximum amount to which he is entitled.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when headage payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Clare.

As the Form P60 originally submitted for off-farm earnings was in respect of the incorrect tax year the person named has now been requested to submit the correct Form P60 and when it is received the question of payment of headage grants will be considered.
