asked the Minister for Agriculture when the examination regarding the options available for dealing with outstanding applications under the western drainage scheme will be made; the proposals that he has for the future drainage in the west, as promised in June last; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 20 and 185 together. The future of field drainage operations in the west of Ireland is receiving consideration in the context of the review of the western package which is taking place at present. An announcement will be made when the review is completed.
