asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry the present plantable land reserve; and the additional area which will be acquired in 1986.
Written Answers. - Plantable Land Reserve.
117.
The plantable reserve held by the Forest and Wildlife Service at 31 December 1985 was 39,000 hectares approximately. However this includes a substantial area which for various reasons, e.g. subject to grazing or turbary rights or sale-exchange proceedings, is not immediately available for planting. It is estimated that 6,200 hectares of plantable land will be acquired in 1986.
