asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry if he will give a list of the capital projects carried out in Cork city and county in each of the years from 1981 to 1985 inclusive; and if he will value each project.

In so far as the Forest and Wildlife Service of my Department is concerned, expenditure on capital projects relates almost entirely to the overall State afforestation programme and, more specifically, to the land acquisition and forest development/management sectors. Records of such expenditure are not available, on a county basis.

So far as fisheries is concerned during the years 1981 to 1985 inclusive capital expenditure of £1,070,620 was incurred on the development of the fishery harbour centre at Castletownbere, Co. Cork. In addition a further amount of £194,773 was spent on capital development of the following fishing harbours in County Cork during those years.
