Vol. 366 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Summary of the Health Services Booklet.

5.

asked the Minister for Health whether he is aware that, in a booklet entitled Summary of the Health Services, the European Economic Community is referred to in large print as the Common Market; if he thinks this is an appropriate description for the member states of the European Economic Community; and, if not, if he proposes to have it changed in future editions.

The booklet Summary of Health Services sets out in broad outline the health services available and the entitlement of applicants for these services. It is issued as an information booklet to the general public and, as such, would scarcely require strict adherence to legalistic terms.

I am sure the Deputy will agree that many members of the general public still refer to the European Economic Community as the Common Market and that the booklet in its present format caters adequately for both titles.
