asked the Minister for Finance the current amount of PRSI payments due by employers to the Revenue Commissioners; the number of employers in arrears for each year; and the amount due for each individual year.

The most recent statistics available relate to the position at 31 May 1987 and provide a separate figure for the year 198586 and an aggregate figure for all years up to 1984-85. Following is the information:

Of this total, the amount estimated to be ultimately collectible is £47 million of which £9.6 million has been paid since 31 May 1987.
