I am aware of media reports concerning various issues relating to gambling, including the harmful social consequences which can follow from excesses in gambling. I do not see that there is need for a survey or examination of the kind mentioned.
There is an ongoing review in my Department of the area of law dealing with gaming and lotteries having regard, in particular, to recent judicial clarification of important aspects of that law.
