asked the Minister for Education whether the schedule of accommodation for Fingal Community College, Swords, County Dublin has been agreed, whether the site has been acquired; if not, the reason for the delay; when it is envisaged that building may commence for this school; and if she will give details of the proposed accommodation arrangements in the interim.

My Department currently have before them two applications for the provision of accommodation from second-level schools in the Swords area, including Fingal Community College. The overall provision of second-level school accommodation in this area is at present under consideration in my Department.
Pending the outcome of such an examination, it is not possible to indicate at this time the schedule of accommodation for Fingal Community College nor to anticipate the timing for commencement of construction work in this connection.
Arrangements are proceeding to acquire a site adjacent to the premises which currently houses Fingal Community College. The matter of title investigation is at present in the hands of legal representatives and is proceeding as quickly as possible.
Fingal Community College will continue to operate in the former vocational school premises at Swords. Teaching spaces will be enhanced, as necessary, by prefabricated accommodation pending the ultimate provision of permanent accommodation to cater for the overall pupil capacity decided for this school.
