I am advised by the Commissioners of Public Works that the spotlights in question have ceased to be used in connection with the memorial and that they are not in working order. It would be possible by means of an extension to provide lighting to the redeveloped area referred to, but as this redeveloped area is under the control of Dublin Corporation it would be a matter for that body to provide any lighting which might be considered necessary.
