Vol. 383 No. 2

Written Answers. - State Buildings Access for Disabled.

60.

asked the Minister for Finance the number of existing State buildings which have been modified for access by disabled persons over the last two years.

Since 1 January, 1986 the Commissioners of Public Works have modified the following buildings, 13 in all, in order to provide access for disabled persons:

Dublin

Revenue Offices, 85/93 Lower Mount Street; Civil Service Commission, Lower Grand Canal Street; Clontarf Garda Station; Raheny Garda Station; National Museum.

County Galway

Mill Street Garda Station, Galway City; Tuam Garda Station; Ballinasloe Garda Station; Custom House, Galway City; Employment Exchange, Galway City; Women's Employment Exchange. Whitehouse, Claddagh, Galway City.

County Wexford

Ballycullane Garda Station.

County Donegal

Rathmullen Garda Station.

It has been the policy of the Commissioners in recent years, to ensure that facilities for the disabled are incorporated in all new buildings for which they have a responsibility.
