(Limerick East) asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that cancer clinics at the Regional Hospital, Limerick, organised by St. Luke's Hospital, Dublin, were reduced from one per week to three per month since the beginning of the year; if he will have the matter examined with a view to improving the present arrangement; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The number of cancer clinics to be provided at Limerick Regional Hospital is a matter for discussion between St. Luke's Hospital Dublin and the Mid-Western Health Board. My attention has been drawn to certain problems in the provision of this service and these will be discussed with St. Luke's Hospital in the context of their financial allocation for 1989.
