Vol. 387 No. 1

Written Answers. - Palmerstown, Dublin, Cemetery.

97.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has satisfied himself that the cemetery at Woodfarm, Palmerstown, Dublin 20 is being developed in accordance with the approval granted by the Minister for the Environment on 28 August 1978 under the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

On 28 August 1978, the Minister for the Environment approved, subject to conditions, the use of lands at Woodfarm, Palmerstown, by the Dublin Cemeteries Committee for the provision of a burial ground. Planning permission for the use of the lands as a burial ground had been granted by Dublin County Council in the previous year. Any questions which may arise in relation to compliance with the approval or the permission are proper to the county council which is responsible generally for matters relating to burials in its area.
