All claims in respect of statutory redundancy entitlements of former employees of the company in question which were submitted to the redundancy section of my Department have been paid.
The Deputy may be referring to a number of appeals under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Act, 1973 which included one appeal under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 1990 and which were heard by the Employment Appeals Tribunal in September last. I understand that the tribunal have now issued their decision on those appeals. Claims for payment of awards made under the relevant tribunal decision should now be submitted to my Department by the receiver of the company concerned. In the case of the redundancy claim, this may be submitted direct to my Department. I can assure the Deputy that any such claims received in my Department will be processed without delay.
