98 Mr. McGahon asked the Minister for Social Welfare the amount of money paid in rent supplements under the supplementary welfare allowance scheme in County Louth in each of the years from 1987 to 1990; and the amount which has been paid to 1 October 1991.

99 Mr. McGahon asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of persons who received rent supplements under the supplementary welfare allowance scheme in County Louth in the years 1987 to 1990 and to 1 October 1991.

100 Mr. McGahon asked the Minister for Social Welfare the amount of money paid in rent supplements under the supplementary welfare allowance scheme in Dundalk, County Louth, by the North-Eastern Health Board in (1) 1987, (2) 1988, (3) 1989, (4) 1990 and (5) to 1 October 1991.

101 Mr. McGahon asked the Minister for Social Welfare the amount of money paid in rent supplements under the supplementary welfare allowance scheme by the North-Eastern Health Board in (1) 1987, (2) 1988, (3) 1989, (4) 1990 and (5) to 1 October 1991.

It is proposed to take Questions Nos. 98 to 101, inclusive, together.

Statistics are not maintained by the health boards in such a way as to provide the information requested by the Deputy.

Discussions are taking place with the boards on the question of providing more detailed statistical analyses of the scheme, including more detailed information on rent supplementation.
