Adjournment Debate Matters.

The Ceann Comhairle wishes to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given to him under Standing Order 20 (3) (a) and the name of the Member in each case: Deputy O'Shea — The action the Minister for Industry and Commerce proposes to take to protect existing employment or to provide alternative employment for the employees of J. A. Mont in Waterford; Deputy Connor — When the Minister for the Environment intends to sanction the plans for the proposed new bridge on the River Suck at Athleague, County Roscommon; Deputy McCormack — The proposed reconstruction and extension to Kinvara national school, County Galway; Deputy Kenneally — The impending closure of the J.A. Mont factory in Waterford with the loss of 58 jobs, and the steps the Minister for Industry and Commerce intends to take in view of the deteriorating employment situation in Waterford; Deputy Flaherty — The action that is being taken to deal with the high level of radon in schools and homes in the North and South of Ireland; Deputy Rabbitte — The concerns expressed by the Irish National Organisation for the Unemployed about the terms and conditions of work for workers on social employment schemes which are not the same as those for other regular part-time workers; Deputy McCartan — The need for the Minister for the Environment to provide a sewerage system to St. Michael's Cottages and Balgriffin Park, Dublin 13, as they are the last scheme of houses in the Dublin City area which do not have a sewerage system; and Deputy Byrne — The need for the Dublin Dental Hospital to be moved to a new building for fire safety reasons and to meet the demands of the public.

The Ceann Comhairle has selected for discussion the matters raised by Deputies O'Shea, Connor and Byrne.
