50 Mr. Cotter asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will give details of the numbers of staff employed in his private office (1) on a permanent basis and (2) on a part-time or temporary basis; and if he will outline the total cost for such staff since the change of Government in each of the years from 1987 to date.
The number of persons working in the Minister's office is 16, of whom 15 are established civil servants and one is employed on a contract basis. The estimated cost involved in respect of each of the years 1987 to date is given in the table below:
