Ceist:97 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Defence whether investigations into the conditions aboard the David F have concluded; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Vessel Overhaul.
The facilities on board the David F have been improved as part of the major overhaul of the vessel carried out last year. A new heating system has been installed and a new cooker and new toilet have also been provided. All crew members have been issued with life saving suits and new life rafts have been provided on the vessel. The question of providing additional onshore facilities for the crew members is still under examination.
