71 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for Defence if he will outline the terms on which the lands occupied by a golf club (details supplied) in County Kildare are held; if there is a lease on the property; if so, the annual charge payable by the club on that lease; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The golf club in question holds lands from my Department under a longstanding licence agreement. Discussions have taken place with the club authorities on the question of new terms including the annual rent payable by the club. A further meeting between officials of my Department and officers of the club is being held next week when it is hoped to finalise the matter.
