Vol. 457 No. 4

Written Answers. - Killery River.

John Ellis

Ceist:

67 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Finance if his Department will make provision in its 1996 Estimates for work to be carried out on the drainage scheme at Killery River, a tributary of the River Bonet; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15428/95]

There are no proposals at this time to make funds available for the drainage of the Killery River. This river was considered some years ago in the context of the Bonet catchment drainage scheme but was excluded at that time. Operations on the Bonet scheme were terminated in 1992 for economic and environmental reasons.
