Ceist:16 Mr. Doherty asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of applications under the dairy hygiene scheme; and the number of payments made to date. [4683/96]
Written Answers. - Dairy Hygiene Scheme.
Up to the end of January 1996 some 5,790 applications were received under this scheme. About 3,200 of these have been dealt with, involving approval of about 3,000. The balance is being processed as quickly as possible.
Grant payments are made only after satisfactory completion of approved works. A total of 391 payments have been made to date.
