On the basis of information available, the person to whom the question refers is attending a VTOS programme as a FÁS participant and is currently in receipt of a one parent family payment from the Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs. An application for payment of an allowance through FÁS is being processed, and the first payment should issue next week.
