Ceist:176 Mr. O'Dowd asked the Minister for Defence if any of the EU meetings at Ministerial level will be held in County Louth during the Irish Presidency of the EU; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29747/03]

Two meetings of EU defence ministers will be scheduled during Ireland's Presidency of the EU. The first meeting, an informal defence ministers meeting, is scheduled to take place in Brussels on the 5 and 6 April 2004. The second, which will be held in the framework of the General Affairs and External Relations Council, is scheduled to take place in Brussels also on the 17 and 18 May 2004.
