Ceist:

449 Mr. O'Dowd asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs if any of the EU meetings at ministerial level will be held in County Louth during the Irish Presidency of the EU; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [29759/03]

Minister for Social and Family Affairs (Mary Coughlan):

I have no plans to hold any EU ministerial meetings in County Louth during Ireland's presidency of the EU. There will be one informal meeting of the Employment and Social Affairs Council which will take place in Galway on 15 to 16 January 2004.
