JOINT COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS díospóireacht -
Tuesday, 7 Oct 2008

Business of Joint Committee.

Apologies have been received from Senator Mark Daly and Deputy Michael Noonan. The minutes of the meeting of 1 October have been circulated. Are they agreed? Agreed.

I would like the US-India nuclear agreement and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to be agenda items for the next meeting.

We will put them down for the next meeting.

I must attend a meeting of the Joint Committee on Health and Children and ask to be excused.

I must also leave in a few minutes because the Joint Committee on European Affairs will sit at 3 p.m. and will set up a sub-committee on the Lisbon treaty.

I must return to the Seanad as there are statements on foreign affairs at 3.30 p.m. and I am spokesperson on that subject.

I see that the Chairman has a letter from Deputy Shatter; will that be dealt with at the end of the meeting?

It will.
