Standing Order 92 provides that, as soon as may be following the election of the Chairman, every committee shall elect one of its members to be Vice Chairman. Is it agreed that the committee elect a Vice Chairman at today's meeting? Agreed. I now call for nominations for the position of Vice Chairman.
Election of Vice Chairman
I congratulate Deputy English on his election as Chairman of this important assembly and wish him well. I propose Deputy Aodhán Ó Ríordáin for the position of Vice Chairman.
As there are no other nominations, I declare Deputy Aodhán Ó Ríordáin elected Vice Chairman. I look forward to working with him in the coming months and congratulate him on his appointment.
