Vol. 12 No. 4

Ennis Urban District Council (Dissolution) Bill, 1929— - Final Stages.

I move: "That the Standing Orders be suspended for the purpose of enabling the remaining stages of the Ennis Urban District Council (Dissolution) Bill, 1929, to be taken to-day."

I do not think there is any necessity to explain why this motion is put down. The matter was dealt with in the other House last week, and the reasons were given by the Minister for taking the course which it is proposed to take here to-day. An emergency has arisen in the affairs of Ennis which could not be dealt with, save by legislation, which involves this Bill. It is a matter of urgency, and that is the reason why this Bill should secure legislative form on the earliest possible occasion.

I second.

Question put and agreed to.
Bill passed through remaining stages.
