Ban on Termination of Young Girl's Pregnancy: Statements (Resumed).
I just wanted to explain that I was paired for yesterday and today. I was not aware that we would be dealing this morning with the unfortunate case of that little girl of 14 years of age. Had I known I would, of course, have been here and I would have expressed my sadness at what happened to her. There are two innocent parties in this, the young girl, who is the mother, and the child. Rather than take advantage of the short time the Chair has allocated to me, I would like to say, abortion is not the answer.
