Vol. 182 No. 6

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Finucane that on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to retain the Knockalisheen regional veterinary location which is of urgent importance to the farmers of Limerick, Clare, north Tipperary and north Kerry.

I have also received notice from Senator Browne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to clarify the plans she has for a new school building for Carlow vocational school.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to clarify his position with regard to the nitrates action plan in light of its potential devastating impact on the pig and poultry industries.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
