Part 5 of the Disability Act 2005 sets out the obligations placed on all public bodies to support the employment of persons with disabilities. This act sets out the minimum statutory employment target for persons with disabilities to be employed in the public sector. In 2024 this target from 3% to a minimum of 4.5%. This will increase to 6% in 2025.

The number of employees who have disclosed a disability currently exceeds the statutory minimum requirement.
