To ask the Minister for Local Government whether an application has been received from the Urban Council of Mallow for a grant of the site of the destroyed military barracks for the purposes of a re-housing scheme, and if any decision has been made in respect of same.

It is not clear whether application on this matter has yet been made by the Council to the Military Authorities. It is understood that the proposal was referred to in the Minutes of the Council's Proceedings at their meeting of the 21st ultimo. These Minutes were received unsigned and have been returned for authentication. The Deputy may be assured that there will be no avoidable delay on the part of the Ministry.
