Vol. 3 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - MYSTERIOUS DUBLIN DEATHS.

asked the Minister for Home Affairs whether any efforts have been made, and if so with what success, to discover and bring to trial the persons responsible for the deaths of Messrs. Kernin, Breslin, Bonfield, and O'Leary, all of whom were found murdered in the Dublin District recently?

Mr. O'HIGGINS

All possible steps are being taken to discover the persons responsible for the deaths of the men named in the question with a view to bringing them to justice, but so far the culprits have not been traced.

Would the Minister accept assistance, and follow up sedulously any clue that may be provided in these cases as in other cases that come under the purview of the authorities dealing with crime?

Mr. O'HIGGINS

I think it is the elementary duty of any citizen who is in a position to assist the Government in tracing the culprits to give that assistance. It is not necessary for me to say that the assistance will be welcomed.
