Vol. 3 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - GALWAY PRISONERS.

asked the Minister for Defence if his attention has been called to the case of three prisoners at present in Galway Gaol, viz., Patrick Roche, Michael Reilly and Walter Reilly, of Caheristrane, Co. Galway; whether he is aware that these three boys have signed the usual form and that their parents have agreed to give substantial security for their future conduct; and whether, in view of these circumstances and of their age, the Reillys being under 17 years, he will consider the advisability of ordering their immediate release?

Michael and Walter Reilly and Patrick Roche, of Caherlistrane, were arrested on the 2nd of March, 1923. They have signed the usual form of undertaking, and guarantors have been found to give security for their future conduct. The question of their release, however, is subject to the result of inquiries which are proceeding.
