Vol. 3 No. 19

COMMITTEE ON FINANCE—ESTIMATES FOR PUBLIC SERVICES. - VALUATION AND BOUNDARY SURVEY.

I beg to move:

"That a sum not exceeding £24,692 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the charge which will come in the course of payment during the year ending the 31st March, 1924, to pay the salaries and expenses of the General Valuation and Boundary Survey, including Estate Duty Valuation under the Finance (1909-10) Act, 1910. (A sum of £12,500 had already been voted on account.) This Estimate calls for little comment. The increase in the Estimate for the revaluation of Waterford (sub-head d) is more apparent than real, as half the cost will be borne by the city, leaving the actual net charge on the Vote at £1,925. It is hoped to complete the entire revaluation during the present financial year, including appeals and the issuing of the list.

At this stage An Leas-Cheann Comhairle took the chair.

Question put and agreed to.
