Advances amounting to £325 have been issued to the Returning Officer and a further advance is being made of £1,200 to enable him to meet fees to Presiding Officers, Poll Clerks, and other fixed expenses readily ascertainable in accordance with the authorised scale. It is hoped to deal with the remaining portion of his claim in the near future.
